Of course, I very much understand 🙂 What I have includes very blatant spoilers, so I’d imagine that wouldn’t work at all.
Hence I’ll just say that I enjoyed this new glimpse of Amber’s world! 😀

I love the Hive Future series! This installment continues the excellent narrative and story line. Amber’s world is so different from ours, but with enough similarities that it can be related to. I hope to read the next one soon.

I feel that young adult readers aren’t really defined by age but by attitude. I’m writing for anyone, whatever their age, who has a joyous imagination and a love of adventure and fantastic worlds. I’m sure that you fit right in there. 🙂
Yes, it’s sad that the paperback of Borderline is so expensive. The problem with physical books, especially print on demand, is that I must charge higher than the basic manufacturing cost of the paperback, and the number of pages is a big factor in that cost. Borderline is a long story, and I wanted to keep the same font size rather than making it unreadably tiny to reduce the page count. That means the paperback of Borderline is a hundred pages longer than Telepath, with a correspondingly higher price.
With the ebook, I could make the decision to keep the same price as the earlier books, so it made sense for you to go for that much cheaper option.
I’ve been having a challenging time lately too. I know the same is true of a lot of people. If I can take refuge in writing my stories, and other people can take refuge in reading them, then it’s a win for all of us. I expected The End, and the New Beginning to have two or three parts, but Jarra has a way of taking charge of things. Writing something serial fashion like this, posting each part as I write it with no idea where the story is going, obviously has risks. It’s been a lot of fun though, and we seem to be heading into a conclusion at last. There’ll probably be some tidying up to do before I publish it properly as part of the Earth Prime collection, but hopefully not too much.

I think the best compliment I can give on your Hive Mind series is that I am devastated I don’t have any more in the series to read this instant. I just discovered the books and just finished book 4.
I was hoping that when I finished it another would have popped up for me to read.

Last week I reread the complete Hive Mind Series for probably the 15th time and afterwards I had a dream that made me wonder something: Would a true telepath be able to recognize another true telepath before Lottery? As I understand it true telepaths can’t read each others minds as they have a mental defence mechanism, and they also have a mental defense mechanism that protects them from the Hive Mind before the triggering in Lottery. But are those seperate things?
I imagine the Hive would not appriciate bookettes about the Portal Future as a world where a complete planet can be a prison let alone one single (im gigantic) building, but I still think you rate as Level 1. High up!

The fact you’ve read the Hive Mind series fifteen times is an impressive compliment. Those are some interesting questions about true telepaths. Amber would like answers to those and many other questions herself. She’ll be making a few new discoveries about telepaths in Hive Mind 5. The distracting real world situation has been making writing progress very slow, so I’ve been drifting around books writing whatever works at a given moment, but Hive Mind 5 Adversary will be out eventually and you’ll see what I mean.

This is one of my favourite all time series. I love Beckett because he’s like me, I’m autistic and I love to see all the disabled characters being portrayed as really good to the hive. I can’t wait to see what happens next! I re read them every few weeks and i never gets tired of them!
