The big news is that there’s going to be an additional book in the Drago Tell Dramis 2781 sequence. Sol 2781 was already too long when it went into beta reading and I wanted to include some extra excitement and reveal a secret as well.
So, there are two books to come rather than one. For plot reasons, the final book has to have the Sol 2781 title and cover. That means the next book released will be Array 2781.
Array 2781 should be out around the end of the month, and the following release will be Sol 2781.
Drago has now learned the secret that his Betan clan has been hiding for almost a decade. He’s currently alternating between moods of pitying his second cousin and fighter team leader, Jaxon, and wanting to strangle him.
They both have to put their feelings aside though, and concentrate on using lumbering solar array transport ships to help with the repairs of the five Earth solar arrays, because Earth is critically short of power. Fortunately, repairing solar arrays is perfectly routine work, so Drago definitely can’t get into trouble.

Excited for an extra book about Drago! Any idea on the timeline for Sol 2781 release and a ballpark for Adversary release?

Factors completely beyond my control wrecked all my writing plans for 2020 and part of 2021. By which I mean real world factors, like Covid and bereavement making it a struggle to be creative, rather than just Drago taking over.
I’m still picking up the pieces from that, and very aware that the world is totally unpredictable at the moment. While a significant amount of Sol 2781 is written, there’s a lot of extra detail to weave into it, and the length of time that takes can vary greatly, but it should definitely be less than three months. 2022 will definitely be focused on the Hive. The complication with Adversary has always been the onward linking into book 6, so I’ll effectively be working on both of them, which makes it impossible to give a firm release date for Adversary.

Drago is totally impossible to control. I keep referring to the Drago Tell Dramis 2781 sequence, just in case he makes me write more books later that are set in a different time period.

Hahaha. I wouldn’t be surprised either if he decides to have you wrote more from his perspective. And I quite honestly enjoy seeing things from his perspective.

Yes! I’ve long thought that covering the clan’s reaction to Jarra popping up as an Honor child and the aftermath would be very interesting.
